Severe Flooding Devastates Northern Afghanistan.
The northern provinces of Afghanistan, including Baghlan, Badakhshan, Takhar, and most recently Ghor, have been struck by devastating floods. The natural disaster has resulted in significant loss of life, with hundreds reported dead or injured. Thousands of homes have been destroyed, and many residents have lost their livestock, leaving them in a dire situation.
In response to this crisis, Union Aid has deployed an assessment team to Baghlan, Badakhshan, and Takhar. The team's mission is to evaluate the situation and identify gaps in the current relief efforts to inform a comprehensive response through collaboration with strategic partners.
