The HIV training conducted.
Union Aid recently conducted a comprehensive HIV training program that was aimed at raising awareness, building capacity, and promoting HIV prevention and support in the community through HF’s health workers.
The program targeted a group of 21 participants consisting of 7 female (MDs), 7 male nurses, and 7 male vaccinators, working in healthcare facilities (HFs) covered by the Union Aid in 4 districts of Kabul province.
The training program focused on addressing various essential issues related to HIV transmission, prevention methods, reducing stigma, and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. It also emphasized the significance of gender-sensitive approaches in addressing HIV-related issues.
The interactive training session involved open discussions and skill-building exercises. This approach aimed to engage healthcare workers actively and encourage them to share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives.
By fostering a supportive learning environment, Union Aid aimed to empower individuals with accurate information and combat misconceptions regarding HIV-related issues. The knowledge gained from this training is expected to have a profound impact on the participant's ability to effectively address HIV-related issues in their workplaces and communities
