Strengthening Safe Water Practices in Balkh Province
Union Aid, in partnership with DACAAR, successfully completed a comprehensive Household Water Treatment and Safe Storage (HWTS) Cascade Training in Balkh Province.
The training strengthened the capacity of community-level actors to promote safe water treatment, proper household water storage, hygiene practices, and community-based WASH interventions.
Key Highlights:
- 173 participants trained
- 106 Community Health Workers (CHWs)
- 12 Community Health Supervisors (CHSs)
- 55 WASH Committee members
Through this initiative, UA and DACAAR are empowering frontline community actors to promote safer water practices and contribute to healthier, safer, and more resilient communities.
