Job Description:

Position Overview:

Union Aid is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join its team. The Program Manager will oversee multiple projects and ensure their successful execution. The Program Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop project plans, track progress, and manage stakeholder expectations as he/she should be fully involved in writing the proposal by providing input on project feasibility, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies, and work with other team members to create a comprehensive proposal that meets the client’s needs and aligns with the organization's goals.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the execution of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines and resource allocation, and coordinate project plan activities at the main and provincial office level (Technical, Financial, and logistics) for achieving projects’ goals and objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to address them.
  • Conduct field monitoring to ensure quality service delivery is provided
  • Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members to ensure project success.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams, helping them overcome challenges and achieve project goals.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports to be submitted to the Executive Director and donors.
  • Close coordination with project managers to ensure consistency between transactions/costs/payments and budget control.
  • Liaison, communication, and coordination with the consortium, Grant/Government, NGOs, UN agencies partners, and other relevant institutions.
  • Contribute to the writing of proposals by providing input that should be aligned with the organizational goals and meeting the needs of clients and donors.
  • Stay up-to-date with organization trends and best practices in program management.
 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and Master's degree preferred (MPH, MSc).
  • Proven experience in Program Management, Proposal writing, or in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project and program management
  • Strong knowledge of program management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
