Conduct of AFB Sputum Smear Microscopy Initial training
On May 31, 2025, an initial training session on AFB Sputum Smear Microscopy was conducted for laboratory technicians from seven health centers at the Union Aid central office. This training was organized in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP).
The primary objective of this training was to improve the identification of positive tuberculosis cases in the covered areas through enhanced laboratory examination techniques. By equipping technicians with specialized skills, the program aims to strengthen tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment efforts.
